I have to drive 6 hours north. Any tips? Do they need a litter box or can they hold it? IN a kennel? Keep in mind it will be cold as f*ck outside. I
I also have my dog, so I guess the cat would have to go in a kennel. I’ve never driven longer than 30 minutes with a cat in the car, suggestions welcome.

Rescue remedy for you, dog and cat. No food 12 hrs before and limit water 3 hrs b/f to minimize chance of accidents. Good luck!

Drug the cat. That is your best option. Valarian root is a good option. Also cut food off like 6 hrs before the trip.

If they have to go, they’ll go. But they may surprise you by not doing so! Also letting them out on the side of the road never works, so, don’t. Worst case scenario: you, running through the woods, looking for the cat, sobbing. (Trust me on this.)

my cat has managed trips that long in a kennel. as soon as she’s locked in there, she chills out. some food and water helps.
